DESCRIPTION

During the summer of 1967, Czesław Miłosz stayed in Vence near Nice. He lives a kilometer and a half from Witold Gombrowicz and visits him every day. Zbigniew Herbert, who was visiting Miłosz at that time, advised him against these visits. He looks with disapproval at the familiarity and regular meetings of writers. As a representative of the younger generation, he has a grudge against the "old masters" for their attitude towards Poland and Poles ... Based on facts and guesses, words and silences, Maciej Wojtyszko composes a story about "homeland" and "synagogue", about Polishness, which is always a challenge.

The performance was created with the financial participation of Teatr Ateneum im. Stefan Jaracz in Warsaw, cultural institution of the capital city of Warsaw.

The performance was produced as part of the celebration of the centenary of regaining independence.
