Cosmos
Witold Gombrowicz
"Cosmos" reveals a frightening dimension where all laws governing human behavior, as well as those governing matter, collapse because they depend on the observer who arbitrarily chooses this and not another starting point for a series of reasoning. Gombrowicz's destructive talent always aims at depriving the reader of certainty and presumed values. In "Cosmos" he questions the very nature of the act by which we understand the simplest objects.
