Ivona, Princess of Burgundia

Compagnie La Machine, Nantes (Francja)

Ivona, Princess of Burgundia
DESCRIPTION

A puppet play deriving from the tradition of French puppetry: "Guignols". Comic, poetic and grotesque, based on music and a special technique of manipulating puppets. The very fact of the existence of the character of Iwona, whose character is not entirely human, takes on, with the participation of puppets as actors, a new anthropomorphic dimension. Thanks to this, the issue of using dolls - actors is solved by itself. The shame provoked by Iwona becomes tangible, not artificial. We quickly find out that with puppets you can best convey the madness and strangeness of this art.
