The Banquet

As with Gombrowicz - playing with stereotypes and forms based on the stories "Banquet", "Banquet at Countess Kotłubaj’s", "Pampelan in a tube" and "Filibert lined with a child". Intelligent and humorous. During banquets, parties and feasts among aristocrats and courtiers, the old order is ruthlessly exposed and the old order is reversed.

In front of the audience, five actors impersonate new, more and more grotesque characters, evoking the atmosphere of young Gombrowicz's work, saturated with theatricality and incredible, provocative humor. Family frustrations, weaknesses of dignitaries, burghers' complexes and the cunning of the lower classes. What is hidden and shameful will eventually be brought to the surface and ridiculed.
