Jakub’s room
"Jakub's Room" is an attempt of translating the poetic prose of „The Cinnamon Shops" and fragments of "The Hourglass Sanatorium" into the language of the theatre. In his room, Jakub dreams of shaping matter and manipulating people who appear to him as mannequins, passive and susceptible to the influence of others. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of bird specimens, he gets lost in his passions, which spread to his family.
The "Resursa" Theatre was established in the autumn of 2011 at the "Resursa Obywatelska" Culture and Art Center in Radom. Here it works, prepares and presents performances. It has 17 premieres to his credit. He staged his first premiere in May 2012 - it was the premiere of the play "Devils" by Sebastian Równy, a writer and journalist from Radom. The "Resursa" Theater is a "love-volunteer" formation, as its actors define themselves. The theater performs adult amateurs, various professions and ages with a span of over 50 years. The youngest actor was 8 years old, and the eldest is over 60. Together they create an intergenerational theater. Currently, the team consists of 16 people. From the very beginning, the group's instructor is Robert Stępniewski - a graduate of the Faculty of Theater Studies at the Theater Academy in Warsaw.
