Piti Pą Tą
DESCRIPTION

The actors (and directors) of "Piti Pą Tą" went to the element. Element of trivial and humorous operetta. Or rather, "Operetta". The enormous theatrical possibilities offered by this drama by Gombrowicz were used to the letter.

Students of puppetry from Białystok, inviting us to the absurd, ironic and grotesque world of Gombrowicz, took care of each of its most absurd, ironic and grotesque elements. Gombrowicz wished that in "Operetta" everything from A to Z be operetta: characters, action, music, singing and dancing. His wishes were fulfilled.

"Piti Pą Tą" is a performance that is the result of the semester work "A Puppeteer manipulating a Puppet", which was a test of the ability to use various stage forms. And in this respect, young puppet students did a great job. They showed that working with a mask, puppet or tintamareska has no secrets for them. So we have actors in a live set (Fior, Sharm, Firulet), a tintamareska (Albertine), hand puppets (the thieves Szarma and Firulet), and finally a puppet animation (the prince and duchess of the Himalayas). In addition, there are interesting innovations - dolls attached to the actors' shoes play the role of the servants of the Himalayan prince. There is dancing, singing, and excellent live music (devoid of the musical side, "Operetta" gives a large field for the composer to show off). There is pathos and grotesque. Seriousness and comedy. Nudity and dress. Redrawing can be seen in every inch. it's ostentatiously loud and sliding, if French, then maniacal as far as possible.
