On December 21st we invite you to the fourth meeting in the "Grand Masters of the Stage on the stage of the Powszechny Theater in Radom” series. This time we will present the projection of the „Operetta" play. It is a TV version of the performance directed by Jerzy Grzegorzewski at the National Theatre.
Jerzy Grzegorzewski uses every opportunity to play with the "divinely idiotic" element of an operetta, a stage joke, a literary or musical allusion, showing us the blind world rushing through a grotesque revolution to the authentic annihilation of everything that was important so far. When the "wind of history" has done its job and in the finale the hymn to youth and nakedness resounds, suddenly an ominous note appears. The screen darkens, the show is over, and the menacing chanting and stomping of shod shoes continues.
In the pelay we will see such masters of the stage as Wojciech Malajkat, Igor Przegrodzki, Ignacy Gogolewski, Marek Barbasiewicz, Magdalena Warzecha and many others.
